Overview

The BlackBerry Desktop Manager is a desktop application used to sync BlackBerry applications and settings to the user's desktop and vise versa. Version 4.6 was to be a refresh of the existing application. Previous versions of Desktop Manager used pop-up wizards extensively whenever a sync occurred between device and desktop. Version 4.6 was to be the first version of Desktop Manager in which the entire device management experience would remain on the Desktop Manager application, removing all pop-up wizards.

Role

My role in this project was to integrate the pop-up wizard functions into the application in a consistent manner. This included creating wireframes and mock-ups for the team's ideas on how to approach this challenge. I also conducted user testing sessions and created paper prototypes of our ideas to validate them with end users.
